“A Thousand Micro-Emitters Per Square Millimetre: New Light on Organic Materials & Structures”

Our Open Day was held on

Thursday 17 May 2007
10.15 a.m. – 4.15 p.m.

Hosted by:

Imperial College London, South Kensington Campus

The Open Day provided the opportunity to hear about the work of this project, to explore demonstrations and posters, and to meet with visiting experts, researchers and interested parties in this field.

(This is a 64 x 64 element micro-LED array, actual size 2mm x 2mm)

The meeting showcased the progress made in novel UV/visible solid-state micro-projection systems for exploitation across a wide range of disciplines, including:

  • Novel microscopy techniques
  • Microsystems
  • Lab-on-a-chip
  • Polymer science
  • Biosensing

The Agenda included renowned speakers:

Professor James S. Harris ( Stanford University)

Professor Edoardo Charbon (EPFL, Lausanne)
